Telegram saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, especially in the latter half of the quarter, peaking at around 200K in the last week of February. Active users displayed a steady rise, beginning at approximately 8.9M and reaching around 9.3M by the end of March.
WhatsApp Messenger experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, with a noticeable spike to about 94K in late February. However, its active users showed a fluctuating pattern, starting at around 1.2M and ending the quarter slightly lower at approximately 1.1M.
